DIGITAL PROJECTS
I had the honour of co-creating the Apel Humanistów project, as well as developing its communications strategy and website. The project aimed to bridge the gap between scientists (particularly in humanities and social sciences) and policymakers. It’s been a formative experience of collaborating with some of the brightest minds in the field of humanities in Poland.
R/EVOLUTIONS: GLOBAL TRENDS AND REGIONAL ISSUES
I created this project from scratch in 2013, investing an great amount of time and effort into it. While I was a postgraduate student in Poland, along with three friends, we observed a dearth of scientific journals addressing the latest political and social challenges in our country. We aimed to fill this gap by publishing content in English and presenting it in an appealing manner, both in terms of content and design. The journal’s activity was paused in 2017.
So we started a journal. And I also developed its branding, communication strategy, created a website and designed interactive layouts. I was responsible for the promotion. I also served as an editor.
We managed to publish amazing issues, with visionaries like Judith Butler, Zygmunt Bauman and Kirsten Johnson, whom I was able to interview. We described social phenomena such as the precariat, the Maidan in Ukraine, the Arab Spring, and the evolution of BRICKS countries.
Our editions were visited by tens of thousands of readers from all over the world. A review of the first edition went to the New York Review of Books. All this for the idea, without a penny of funding.
Political Studies Review is one of the flagship journals of the Political Studies Association. As I am strongly committed to research dissemination, I created a comprehensive communications strategy and branding for the journal. I built the website that serves as a hub, gathering all information about the journal and interactive contents.

These include step-by-step publication toolkits, events and workshop announcements, as well as interactive content that I create and produce (podcasts, research-based interviews). Effects? Quality research and content, tens of thousands of downloads and tripling the impact factor.
This is a project created in response to probably the most turbulent year I’ve ever witnessed. When in February 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine, living in London, I was able to help refugees from Ukraine, including my friends, only for a few weeks spent in Poland these days. I created this website (as well as branding and design) as a response to inquiries and my own thoughts in this regard on how to help Ukraine remotely.
It is based on a simple search algorithm gathering a list of established aid organizations or initiatives in Ukraine, Poland, and other countries that support Ukraine. The user can easily find, learn and support aid projects that suit their preferences the most.
This initiative is designed to help local authorities, community projects in Poland develop a strong brand identity. The focus is on offering strategic guidance in brand communication, ensuring that the brand effectively resonates with its target audience.
WORKSHOPS, CLASSES AND TRAINING
- I conducted classes with students on visual communication, sustainable development, communication in public safety and many others.
- I led trainings and lectures on publication in Political Studies Review, while also promoting less known forms of scientific articles as the Null Hypothesis or Early Results.
- I deliver trainings and workshops for researchers on contacts with the media and the use of social media.
- I facilitated debates on gender equality in science and – recently at the University of Oxford – on sustainable development in Polish science.
- I delivered lectures for over 500 people, as well as small talks at scientific conferences.
